THE STRESS-FREE PHOTO SESSION GUIDE FOR MOMS

If you’re here, you’re probably thinking about booking a session… or maybe you already did and now you’re spiraling a little 😅

What will we wear?

What if my toddler doesn’t cooperate?

What if I don’t feel confident?

I get it. I’m a mom too—and I’ve built my entire experience around making this feel easy, natural, and actually enjoyable.

This guide is here to take the pressure off.

Because the truth is… the best photos don’t come from perfection.

They come from connection.

First things first: let go of “perfect”

I’m going to say this with love:

If you’re expecting perfectly posed, smiling-at-the-camera photos the entire time… I am not your photographer.

And that’s a good thing.

Your babies are going to move.

Your toddler might run, pout, or cling to you.

You might feel a little awkward at first.

That’s where the magic is.

The in-between moments—

the snuggles, the giggles, the chaos, the way your baby reaches for you…

That’s what we’re capturing.

What to wear (without the stress)

Outfits are the #1 thing moms worry about… so let’s simplify it.

For mama:

Start with YOU. Everything else builds around your outfit.

Go for:

Flowy dresses

Soft, neutral tones (cream, beige, white, muted pastels)

Textures like linen, cotton, knits

Avoid:

Neon colors

Busy patterns

Tight, uncomfortable clothing

Most important rule:

If you don’t feel good in it—you won’t love your photos.

For babies + toddlers:

Keep it simple

Think soft + cozy

Onesies, rompers, simple dresses

Barefoot is always a yes 🤍

For the family:

Coordinate, don’t match.

Think:

Same color palette

Different textures

Soft tones that blend together

If you’re unsure—send me your outfits. I help my clients with this all the time.

How to prep your kids

(honest version)

I’m not going to give you unrealistic advice like

“just make sure they’re well rested and fed”

Because toddlers are… toddlers 😅

Talk about the session like it’s something fun

Don’t pressure them to “be good”

Bring a favorite snack or comfort item

Let them be themselves

The secret?

The less pressure you put on them, the better it goes.

What to expect during your session

A family in casual attire plays together in a bright empty room, showing a sequence of playful interaction.

This is not a stand-and-smile situation.

I will guide you the entire time with prompts like:

“Snuggle your baby”

“Walk together”

“Kiss their cheeks”

“Play, tickle, love on them”

You don’t need to know how to pose.

You just need to show up and love your babies.

I’ll take care of the rest.

What NOT to worry about

Let me take some pressure off you right now:

Your toddler doesn’t need to behave perfectly

Your baby doesn’t need to smile

Your body doesn’t need to look a certain way

Your session doesn’t need to go “perfectly”

None of that matters.

Holding your babies close

Laughing with them

Letting them be little

Being present in the moment

That’s what turns into the photos you’ll treasure forever.

What DOES matter

Ready to book your session?

If you’re looking for:

Natural, emotional photos

A stress-free experience

Someone who understands motherhood in every season

I would love to document this for you.

One last thing, mama

One day, these photos will be more than just pictures.

They’ll be proof of how it felt.

How little they were.

How deeply you loved them in this exact season.

And that’s something worth holding onto.
